Preparing for catastrophic weather is something that coastal communities must always be thinking about, but what about just our typical thunderstorm?  It is all too common to experience power outages here on the barrier islands. The time to move our coastal electricity underground is – NOW, but can we afford it? The city must continue to make every effort to secure Federal, State and Utility grants to bury our power and communication lines. This must be a priority.
