Red Tide is a natural occurrence, but in recent years has overwhelmingly impacted our beaches and way of life. This must be due to an overabundance of nutrients entering our waterways. The City of Madeira Beach, along with our neighboring coastal communities must join and speak together as one voice to the State and Federal agencies to demand resources to inspect our commercial industries and wastewater plants for pollutants that are spilling these nutrients into our waterways as a by-product of their operations.
